In the early hours of October 28, 2015, Pazuzu Algarad was found dead in his prison cell at Central Prison in Raleigh, North Carolina. The death was ruled a suicide; he bled to death as a result of a deep cut on his left arm. On Oct. 5, 2014, 35-year-old Algarad and his fiancé, 24-year-old Amber Burch, were both arrested after the skeletal remains of two men were found buried in Algarad’s backyard.

Medical examiners identified the remains of two bodies found in a Clemmons backyard. Pazuzu Algarad and Amber Burch had their first court appearance, both asking for court-appointed attorneys. A third person, Krystal Nicole Matlock, then 28, was charged in connection with the death of one person whose body was found at the Clemmons home.
Keith Bryson, who also lives across the street from the house, said he had to call the police a few times when things got out of hand with parties. Bryson has come to serve as the neighborhood’s de facto media spokesman the past seven months. Obviously, the house was in dire condition – there was garbage everywhere, animal carcasses lying around, and blood smeared on the walls. This is one of LA's wealthiest neighborhoods and that's reflected in the manicured properties with large, expensive single family homes. There are some condos and townhouses as well, though they are similarly pricey. WFMY also reports that Algarad was involved in a 2010 homicide but was put on probation instead of serving prison time. WFMY reports that both have previous convictions for assaulting Algarad's mother, who was reportedly in the house when the two were arrested.
However, just Cynthia's words were not enough for the police, they needed concrete evidence, and so they asked if Pazuzu's mother could search the house. At the same time, the police received a tip stating that the body of a man named Tommy Welch's may also be buried in the same place. The same day Pazuzu was arrested, he underwent a psychiatric evaluation in Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is not necessarily a standard procedure to send someone to be evaluated so quickly, but authorities had a good reason to think there was something seriously wrong with Pazuzu. A psychiatrist in Dorothea Dix Hospital prescribed Ativan to help Pazuzu with his anxiety, but there was little to no effect. He also underwent alcohol detoxification and was given medicine for high cholesterol and antibiotics for a burn wound on his arm.
He killed himself before Forsyth County prosecutors could try him for Wetzler’s murder and helping to bury Welch. In March, Burch, 27, pleaded guilty in Forsyth Superior Court to second-degree murder, armed robbery and accessory after the fact in connection to Welch’s death. After finding the bodies outside, county inspectors entered the house and found a very disturbing scene.
The walls are spray-painted in graffiti, covered in mold and lined with hundreds of satanic photos and drawings. Pazuzu Illah Algarad, then 35, and Amber Nicole Burch, then 24, both of the home, were each charged with one count of murder and one count of accessory after the fact to murder. Pazuzu Algarad pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault on a female and was placed on probation for 12 months.
